The main objective of TAA is to educate and advocate the members, who comprise mainly of property owners, developers, builders and property management companies. TAA is affiliated to the National Apartment Association and other local associations in 25 cities in Texas. TAA has a membership base of over 10,000 members and represents close to 1.6 million rental units across Texas. On the whole, the TAA represents property worth more than $150 billion in market value. TAA provides standard forms and applications for lease contracts, rental contracts and other property issues.
